Oh, my city!

I sit at yet another mundane job in the heart of manhattan at the behest of well meaning friends and loved ones, wondering why I'm at work and not resting my heart from the anguish

wondering why I am even in this god forsaken country

wondering if I will ever

ever

ever

return to New Orleans, my heart and soul, my lover, my inspiration, my home again.

what shall I do?!!!

my love has returned home to gather things, gather artwork, gather money stashed here and there, gather his mind... and I am left here to ponder

to wonder

to wait

so much has happened since I last posted here so many moons ago... but it seems like the right time to be vocal again.

because a LOT remains to be said.
